Flat paint only takes a mixed media piece so far, and sculpture paste is how a lot of artists add the raised texture, carved detail or dimensional relief that makes a surface interesting to look at and touch. The Snow White shade works well on its own as a bright base layer, or as a clean canvas for painting over once it has dried.

Use it straight from the tub with a palette knife or texture tool to build up layers, stencil patterns, or sculpt small three dimensional details directly onto canvas, board or craft surfaces.

Because it dries in place rather than shrinking back flat, it holds the texture and shape you give it, which makes it useful for anything from raised lettering and stencilled borders to small sculpted motifs on a mixed-media canvas. Working in thin layers and letting each one dry before adding the next tends to give the most stable, crack-free result on larger areas.

Once fully dry, the Snow White base can also be painted, inked or left as it is for a clean, bright textured finish, giving you flexibility depending on where the piece is headed next.
